Unvail BETA

Know what you’re actually looking at

Unvail (say it like “unveil”) checks images, video, music and text for signs they were generated by AI, and whether the claims in an article or a YouTube video hold up — right on the pages you already use. You get a likelihood or the sources, with the reasoning, never a bare verdict.

What it checks

And the claims in articles and videos. A claim check pulls out the statements a piece makes, searches for reporting on each one, and shows what came back: which outlets agree, which disagree, and which claims nobody independent has covered. Check a whole article, just a passage you highlight, or a YouTube video, where every claim shows the moment it was said. It is a map of what reporting exists, not a ruling on what is true.

Detection is probabilistic. Unvail cannot prove how something was made, which is why it shows a likelihood and where it came from, and never claims 100%.

How you use it

Unvail is a browser extension for desktop Chrome, and a web app at unvail.ai that works in any browser, including on a phone. It stays out of the way until you ask: nothing is captured or sent anywhere until you start a check, and checks are blocked on private conversations such as WhatsApp Web, Gmail and direct messages.

It is free to use, with no card required. Paid plans add more checks.

Your account and your data

An account is what keeps usage fair. You can sign up with an email address and a password, or with Google. If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with us. We use your name and email address to create your account and sign you in, and nothing else from your Google account.

What we collect, why, and who it is shared with is set out in our privacy policy. You can download everything we hold about your account, or delete the account and all of it, from the Account page at any time.

Where it is available

Unvail is open in the United States. We are launching there first, and opening other regions once we can support them properly.
